Recent updates to the IU School of Medicine Medical Student Administration System (MSAS) now allow us to store emergency contact information. We know you may have already shared this information with your campus, but adding your emergency contact info to MSAS will improve your ability to update and use this information – especially during clerkships when you may be outside of your home campus.

How your emergency contact info will be used
The contact information will be securely stored in compliance with FERPA guidelines and will only be used in the case of an emergency.

Instructions for adding your emergency contact info to MSAS

  1. Log into MSAS using your CAS credentials
  2. Click on Emergency Contact in left-hand menu
  3. Click Add
  4. Enter contact information on screen
  5. Click Save
  6. Repeat steps above to add additional emergency contact information

Please contact Amanda Ybarra if you have any questions or concerns.
