Class of 2025: All IU School of Medicine graduates must order academic regalia (gown, hood, tam, tassel) from Herff Jones, the official IU supplier, by April 7.
You will keep the tam and tassel but return the gown and hood after the ceremony. The ordering site is for all of IU-Indy and all of the various ceremonies so it is a bit confusing.
Follow these steps:
- Go to Herff's Indiana University website.
- Select the Indianapolis campus from the dropdown.
- Select Cap & Gown Order Now.
- Select the option: Indiana University.
- Select the option: School of Medicine Doctors Only.
- Don't be confused by the ceremony date of Thursday, May 15 at 8 pm. That is IU-I Commencement, which you are welcome to attend. Ignore that part and go to Shop.
- Click on Cap & Gown.
- Click to Show Contents and View Full Details.
- Complete the information and Add to Cart.
- Checkout and pay.
- Enter your billing and shipping information. Your regalia will be mailed to the address you select. There will also be a pre-paid label for your to mail back your gown and hood.
- Note: The Announcements offered for sale by Herff Jones are for the May 15 IU-I Commencement, not the Indiana University School of Medicine Graduate Recognition Ceremony on May 16.
