IU School of Medicine requires students to take the Comprehensive Clinical Science Exam (CCSE) to gauge readiness for the Step 2 CK exam.

The end of Phase 2 is approaching, and it has been a pleasure to watch you grow and thrive as you prepare for Phase 3 and your ultimate careers in medicine. One of those steps toward Phase 3 will be the Step 2 CK exam. As a stepping stone, the school requires that you take the Comprehensive Clinical Science Exam (CCSE) to gauge your readiness and determine your areas of strength and areas that would benefit from further review before taking the Step 2 CK exam.

You have the option to take the CCSE on March 27, 2024, or April 25, 2024, at 8:30 am.

You must register for one of those dates by March 17, 2024. The survey will close on March 17, 2024, at 11:59 pm ET.

  • This exam is required to be in person
  • Students will take their exam at their home campus
  • You must bring your laptops with you on exam day
