An October 28 webinar hosted by AAMC Careers in Medicine (CiM) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) will help you answer that question. First-, second-, and third-year medical students are invited to attend the free webinar from 8-9 pm ET.
"Vibe Check: Is Family Medicine Right for Me?" will convene a panel of family physicians to share their personal journeys, including pivotal moments during medical school, residency, selection, and job exploration.
Webinar Goals:
- Personal motivations. Explore the diverse interests that led each panelist to pursue family medicine during their medical education. Gain insights into the passion and values that motivate and inspire family medicine physicians.
- Residency decision-making. Discover the criteria panelists considered when selecting family medicine residency programs and the pivotal factors that influenced their choices and shaped their careers.
- Career paths and experiences. Explore the professional journeys and personal stories that helped shape the ways family physicians chose to practice.
