Ophthalmology Fellowships Programs

IU School of Medicine offers three competitive post-residency fellowship programs in ophthalmology.

The Glaucoma Fellowship program accepts one fellow each academic year and is focused on the research and treatment of glaucoma.

The Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Fellowship program accepts two fellows per academic year and focuses on premature retinopathy and ophthalmic surgery.

The Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship is a newly re-established, two year clinical fellowship with goals to provide a comprehensive training experience in the diagnosis and management of a broad spectrum of vitreoretinal diseases.

Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Fellowship

This one year program provides post-residency training for a comprehensive practice in pediatric ophthalmology. The program accepts two fellows each year.

Glaucoma Fellowship

The department offers a one year fellowship for individuals interested in expanding their knowledge and skillset related to treating glaucoma. This program accepts one fellow per academic year.

Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship

The department offers a two year, post-residency clinical fellowship which provides a broad training in all aspects of medical and surgical retina. This program accepts one fellow per academic year.
