We’re glad you’re interested in learning more about Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute.
Perhaps you’re visiting our website because you are interested in residency training or one of our fellowship programs. Maybe you are a patient looking for state-of-the-art comprehensive or specialty eye care. Or perhaps you’re interested in learning about our cutting-edge research.
No matter what brought you here, know that our department is dedicated to improving eye health by delivering excellence in patient care, education and research. We are guided in our everyday work by our core values of excellence, integrity, diversity, cooperation and respect for all individuals.
Since its inception in 1908, the Department of Ophthalmology has trained more than 500 residents and fellows. In 2009, thanks to generous philanthropic support, our offices moved to the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute—a four-story, 77,000-square-foot building where both top-notch patient care and groundbreaking research occurs every day.
As part of our role in the wider IU School of Medicine—the largest medical school in the country—we strive to inspire the next generation of health care professionals and leaders, accelerate discovery and clinical translation, and foster the vitality and engagement of faculty, staff and students.
We look forward to the opportunity to serve you or to partner with you in this important work.
