MD Education

IU School of Medicine’s Evansville campus offers the same four-year medical education curriculum that’s available at all the school’s statewide campuses, which facilitates a continuity of learning, teaching and community involvement. Centralized on six competencies and mastery of core information, IU School of Medicine-Evansville provides an organized learning experience for medical students to gain the skills and knowledge needed for graduation, residency, internships and beyond.

Medical students in Evansville benefit from collaborative partnerships with other academic institutions, including University of Evansville. A large and dedicated volunteer clinical faculty team further advances student learning through hands-on exposure to patient care.

Third- and fourth-year required clerkships and electives are offered at a variety of clinical facilities in the tri-state area, and IU School of Medicine-Evansville students train side-by-side with experienced physicians and residents during these rotations.

IU School of Medicine-Evansville students discover close-knit health care community in thriving region

IU School of Medicine-Evansville has a brand new facility with state-of-the-art equipment and a mock clinic for medical students to practice patient encounters. The campus offers milder winters and a close-knit community where faculty, staff and peers are supportive. It's also home to the Southwest Indiana Internal Residency Program.

Undergraduate Degree

The Bachelor of Medicine, B/MD program is a dual program offered through four leading academic institutions in southern Indiana, allowing students to earn an undergraduate degree while receiving a provisional seat to the Indiana University School of Medicine upon graduation. Each university has unique requirements and benefits for their respective program.
