Calling all Philanthropists!

As the scope of this project was much larger than we originally anticipated, we do not have the funds to pay for the travel expenses of the students for this exciting, once in a lifetime, opportunity. Therefore, the students are paying for their own airline tickets and other travel-related expenses. For many of them this is not a trivial undertaking. The majority of our team members are students/trainees. We have 4 undergraduate students, 5 medical students, 1 PhD student, 3 postdoctoral fellows, and 1 orthopaedic resident. If you are interested in helping to support the student travel, please contact Elizabeth Elkas at eelkas@iu.edu or call 317-278-2122. You can also give now on our website: http://orthopaedics.medicine.iu.edu/bonehealingspace/giving/

Just click on the “give now” button. Then under the first tab, click make a selection, and select “Spaceflight and Beyond Research Fund” and then continue filling out the required personal information.

All donations are greatly appreciated!
