Miaine Clark is joining the department as a Research Assistant. Miaine is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Chemistry through Purdue School of Science. Her degree focus is complemented by mathematics, writing, and biology. She has a background in writing and experience working with researchers performing experiments. She joined the team on September 8th. Sewing patterns and hand stitching are her new favorite hobbies. | |
Elizabeth Scott is joining the department as a Slide Clerk. Elizabeth is studying Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Pre-Medicine at IUPUI. She is looking forward to working with other health professionals in the department and learning more about medicine in general. She also enjoys playing volleyball with friends on a campus intramural team. | |
Genny Short is joining the department as a Lab Assistant II for the Medical Technology Program. She'll be preparing media & reagents for the Microbiology section. She is also a Lab. Assistant II for the IU Health Pathology Lab in Microbiology. She is about to celebrate her 36th anniversary there. She loves spending time with her family, especially her grandson, her best Christmas present ever! | |
Hannah Hoover is joining the department as a Medical Technologist at the Newborn Screening Lab. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology in 2019. Until now, she has worked night shift at Eskenazi Health as a generalist – working in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood bank. She enjoys traveling, tattoos, and trying new restaurants around Indy. | |
Olivia Herbert is joining the department as a Pathology Clerk. Olivia is currently an undergraduate at IUPUI in Indianapolis majoring in nursing. She loves animals, doing crafts, and playing softball. | |
Rustam Sultonov, MD is joining the department as a Visiting Scholar after being granted an honorary fellowship by Joe Moore's Fellowship fund. He completed his MD degree at Avicenna Tajik State Medical University in the city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. After graduating from residency, he worked as a dermatologist for a year. He likes playing guitar in his free time. | |
Zachary (Zac) O'Neill, MD is joining the department and will be functioning as a forensic pathologist at the Marion County Coroner’s Office. As a Midwesterner, Dr. O’Neill completed his medical training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences before completing his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency in Buffalo, NY. After completing a fellowship in Forensic Pathology in San Diego, CA, he has practiced as a forensic pathologist for the past 7+ years in Tennessee and North Carolina before making the transition to Indianapolis. He enjoys traveling, hockey, and spending time with his wife, son, and his dog. He and his family are looking forward to getting to know and enjoy the Indianapolis area. |
