New members arrive

Kayli Nguyen is joining the IndianaUniversity (IU) Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine asa Pathology Assistant. Kayli is currently pursuing a degree in Medical Laboratory Science at IUPUI. Her future plans include going to graduate school and becoming a Pathologists' Assistant.

She joined the team on May 8th. She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her cat. 

Trinity Vanheel is joining the Indiana University (IU) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine as a Summer Intern. Trinity is studying Biomedical Health Sciences on a Pre-Medicine track at Purdue University. She is joining us to grow her passion in medicine. She joined the team on May 8th. She hopes her medical career takes her into becoming a MOHS Surgeon.
 

Ashley Bay is joining the Indiana University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as a Medical Technologist. Ashley completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with a Biology major and Chemistry minor from Franklin College in 2013. She later attained her certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist from Franciscan Health in 2017. She has gained experience working as a Medical Technologist and Clinical Instructor for the past 6 years. She is joining us after working as a Medical Technologist for IU Health at the Simon Cancer Center.

Ashley enjoys reading and spending time with her children. She loves taking walks with her family and dog to different parks around their neighborhood. She joined the team on May 22nd

 

Lydia Emmert is joining the IU Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine as a student research assistant. She is an undergraduate student at Purdue University working towards a degree in Kinesiology, and plans on pursuing a career as a PA. She joined in the beginning of May.

Lydia loves to read and to spend time outdoors.

 

Lina Im is joining the Indiana University (IU) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine as a Pathology Assistant Intern. Lina is currently completing her Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at IUPUI. She is joining us to pursue her passion in the medical field while attaining experience in data analysis.

She joined the team on May 8th. She loves visiting restaurants in Indy and exploring new places.
