The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine was well represented at the recent 71st Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Society of Cytopathology in Austin, TX on Nov. 15-19, 2023.

Ben and Dr. Segura (along with other colleagues) presented a poster. Dr. Feldman presented the New Frontiers lecture about recent advances in technology.

Additionally cytotechnology alumni JJ and Whitney Mena, now residing in Texas, made an appearance. Katie Hughes is a cytotechnology graduate currently working for Hologic, Inc. and former resident Shannon Kratzer is a practicing pathologist in the Austin area.

Former resident and current fellow Dr. Mohammad Saad was in attendance and also presented a poster. Joining him are Dr. Harvey Cramer, director of cytopathology, and Dr. Michael Feldman, chair of the department.
