Come cheer on your IU School of Medicine classmates as they compete in the IUPUI Regatta.

IU School of Medicine students are fielding four teams in this year’s Regatta, a half-mile canoe race in the Downtown Indianapolis Canal. The event, including a free barbecue for the IU School of Medicine community, will be held Saturday, Sept. 21.

Representing IU School of Medicine are:


Team: Rhow-gam

Rowers: Stephanie Wilson, Payton Arnold, Alejandro Bolivar, Eamon Eccles, Alternate 1: Nick Polster, Alternate 2: Bryan Saldana


Team: Hippocratic Boat

Rowers: Emma Ross, Joey Wu, Daniel Cao, Lauren Bryant


Team: Ahoyvastatin

Rowers: Lifan Fan, Lexi Petrucciani, Alexi Christodoulides, Luke Brennan


Team: We have a hole in our boat!

Rowers: Nick Diggins, Adam Warrick, Cam Smock, Peter Leonard


The Regatta takes place from 10 am to 4 pm.

The IU School of Medicine offices of Medical Student Education and Faculty Affairs, Professional Department, and Diversity are co-hosting a barbecue for faculty and learners from 11 am to 1 pm at Military Park. This family-friendly event is full of food, games and friendly competition along with an opportunity to spent time with IU School of Medicine Dean Jay Hess, MD, PhD, MHSA, and other school leaders. All learners and faculty members are encouraged to attend and enjoy the festivities.
