IU School of Medicine graduates pursuing Indiana residency will have their graduation verification hand-delivered to the Licensing Board. Those heading to other states, meanwhile, can receive transcript and licensure form assistance by emailing medcred@iu.edu with "2025 Grad" in the subject line.

MS4s: Review residency credentialing information now

Class of 2025:

If you are completing residency in Indiana, the IU School of Medicine registrar will hand-deliver a letter to the Indiana Licensing Board on your behalf—in place of a transcript or copy of diploma—notifying the board that you have graduated. They will deliver the letters the week after graduation (for everyone who has completed all degree requirements).

For anyone with outstanding degree requirements or coursework in May or June, your letter will be delivered when your degree requirements have been met. Your residency program will help you complete the rest of the process.

If you do find that you need additional materials—such as a letter for your GME Program to begin your residency—email medcred@iu.edu and place "2025 Grad" in the subject line.

If you are completing your residency program in another state, your program will help you with the completion of the process and will tell you what documents are needed and who is to fill them out. The IU School of Medicine Registrar's Office can assist you with:

 • Sending out a transcript
 • Writing a letter
 • Filling out the Registrar/Dean portion of a state licensure form
 • Filling out the Registrar/Dean portion of a GME form

Again, for these needs, email medcred@iu.edu and place "2025 Grad" in the subject line. The IU School of Medicine Registrar's Office does not have a notary. A notary can be found at your bank, UPS, FedEx, etc.

Congratulations and good luck in your next stage of your medical education!
