As a medical student, you are automatically enrolled in IU-sponsored health insurance. You are required to maintain health insurance coverage for the entire time you are enrolled at IU.
To help you meet this requirement, you’ve been automatically enrolled in the IU-sponsored Professional Student Health Insurance Plan administered by Anthem Student Insurance Plans and University Health Plans (UHP).
If you wish to waive this coverage, you must do so by September 15 by following the instructions below. A waiver must be submitted annually. Enrollment in this plan includes medical, prescription, vision, and dental coverage—all for one premium. Premiums are automatically billed to your bursar account at the beginning of each semester.
