IU School of Medicine students must complete their 2024-2025 influenza vaccination by Nov. 1, 2024.

Get your influenza vaccine before Nov. 1

It’s time to complete your 2024-2025 influenza vaccination requirement!

IU School of Medicine requires ALL students (MS1 through MS4) to obtain an influenza vaccination for the 2024-2025 academic year before Nov. 1, 2024.

IU Campus Health provides numerous Flu Shot Clinics throughout Indianapolis and its regional campuses during the fall season. Alternatively, you may obtain flu vaccination from your health care provider, regional campus, or pharmacy location. Watch for additional information on various campus influenza clinics.

If you plan to get a flu shot at a Campus Health Flu Clinic (in Indianapolis or a regional campus), please bring your insurance card and Crimson Card to the clinics. Students may request a medical exemption or personal, non-medical waiver for the influenza vaccination by following the instructions at the Immunization and TB Surveillance Page.

Statewide Covid and Influenza Resources

As we enter the flu season and continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19, it is crucial to stay informed about accessible testing resources. To ensure the health and safety of our community, we are providing information on various COVID-19 and influenza testing locations on your campus and in your area.  These sites offer convenient access to testing services, helping you monitor your health and make informed decisions.

See below for campus-specific and statewide opportunities. Make sure to take a valid ID (Campus ID if attending an IU-sponsored clinic or appointment) and insurance information to your visit.  Ask for the cost at your visit and if they accept your insurance.

If you are sick with a respiratory illness, stay home. You can return to normal activities when symptoms are improving overall and you remain without a fever for 24 hours (without medication).

It is recommended that you wear a mask for five (5) days after resuming normal activities to help prevent spreading illnesses. See more information and resources at Protect IU or the CDC.

This list will be updated as additional opportunities are available.
