Scholarly Concentrations Students Publish Project Research

Publishing a paper in a peer-reviewed journal is an important accomplishment for all researchers, and for 22 students in IU School of Medicine’s Class of 2024, who were enrolled in the Scholarly Concentrations Program, the career goal has been achieved while they were still in medical school. They are off to a great start!

Students worked on research projects independently or with fellow classmates and all projects involved mentors or a faculty member. Submitting a manuscript for publication about the project is a requirement of the program. Published topics investigated include Genetics and Medicine, Public Health, and Biomedical Engineering and Applied Medical Technology.
