All IU School of Medicine faculty and staff who are enrolled in an IU-sponsored medical plan can receive urgent and primary care services at the IU Staff and Faculty Clinic. The clinic is located in Indianapolis and same-day, call-ahead appointments are available.
Eligible employees and dependents (age 16 and older) can use the clinic to receive routine as well as urgent care services when needed by showing a medical plan ID card. The IU Staff and Faculty Clinic is an in-network provider, and medical plan coverage for services is based on the member’s medical plan with applicable copays and deductibles.
The clinic can meet healthcare needs for non-life-threatening illnesses including:
- Coughs, cold, flu, and fever
- Sprains and strains
- Strep and sore throat
- Yeast infection
- Swollen glands
- Urinary tract infection
- Non-emergent allergic reaction
- Earache, upper respiratory infection
- Pink eye
- Headaches and stomach aches
- Skin rashes and bites
- Vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Cuts, scrapes, burns, suture removal
Located on the third floor of IU Health University Hospital Adult Outpatient Center, the clinic can be accessed by both the IU Health Shuttle and the IUPUI Campus Shuttle. Same-day, call-ahead appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lab-drawing services are also available.
