Oh Second Semester…

It has been a while since I last posted in here. Nevertheless, the last 3 months have been the toughest months of my educational career ever. Last semester all the second year students told us that our second semester would be better, that we would have more free time, and that it would easier…LIES! lol This second semester has been the hardest semester I have ever had in all my 9 years of school.

As a matter of fact, this semester has truly been a constant war. Physiology and Microbiology have been the toughest classes of the semester. Physiology is just another monster, one which you think you know and then it just throws a curve ball at you. In my perspective and experience thus far, Physio has been the class that has made me even wonder if I am doing the right thing by being here in med school. It has made wonder if I can really do this, it has me questioning my abilities as a young doctor in training, and it has been my stumbling rock.

Nevertheless, as I press on to finish the second half of the semester, I have made it my goal to conquer Physiology, to own it, and strive on forward because as I have come to learn, “Obstacles are put in your way to see if what you want is worth fighting for!”
