Tools for New Year’s Resolution Success

New Year Blog

Approaching the New Year sparks invigorated efforts to continue your health journey, and while we know you may have your own plans to make self-improvements, here at the Ruth Lilly Medical Library, we have a couple of key resources to help you on your way.

Natural Medicines is a database located conveniently on our library website. You can utilize this web feature to research natural remedies if you’re looking for alternative medicine options.

For example, if your goal is to start fresh and shed some weight by employing a new “natural supplement,” you can search it out on the database to see if it is safe and effective. The results will provide you with information on the substance’s background, various uses, toxicology, and more.

The Ruth Lilly Medical Library also offers online resources to address your mental and emotional needs. Use apps like calm, or colorfy to unlock your inner chi and start the year off right!

If these useful resources don’t quite cover all of your resolution needs, the library also offers a stunning staircase that will allow you to enjoy great views of all three floors. Faculty and staff alike recommend several trips up and down to raise your heart rate and burn a few extra calories.

While you’re considering your New Year’s resolutions for 2018, consider how the Ruth Lilly Medical Library can help you achieve your goals.
