A great opportunity to give back

College and House has a great event coming up and we would love to get as many people involved as possible. We are planning a drive to collect items and funds to create homeless kits to handout to those in need. The kits should include items like soap, socks, granola/cliff bars, a comb, deodorant and water bottles. However, you can feel free to add other things if you would like—these are just suggestions! Each regional campus will be provided 18 bags that may be used for distribution and Indy will receive 66. Campus leaders are to collect items in the most convenient location for your campus (i.e. Ruth Lilly in Indy, Jordan Hall at Bloomington). We would like each campus to collect as many items as possible April 23 through May 5.

Students are free to donate $5 rather than items and class representatives will collect these funds (via Venmo or PayPal if convenient) and use them to purchase the previously listed items.

Pizza party? Pizza party!

We want each campus to tally their overall number of items and let us know what all they have collected by no later than May 5 at 5 pm so that the kits may be delivered the following weekend (May 11). Any campus that has collected more than 50 items will win a pizza party!!! Feel free to offer pizza to your classmates while you all assemble the kits or on distribution day.
