Regional campus students who are completing T2 at a regional campus will receive a parking voucher at OTC to use on Tuesday, April 16 for Orientation to Clerkship and the T2 kick off at the IUPUI Campus Center. Please park in the Vermont Street garage. If you have an ST parking permit at the Bloomington or Northwest campuses, please park in the ST Lot 80 (1019 W. Vermont) or Barnhill Garage (345 Barnhill Dr.) next to the Campus Center and the Vermont garage. See map for location.

Students completing T2 and clerkships in Indianapolis are responsible for their own parking. Visit IUPUI Parking and Transportation Services and click on Student Permits for more information.

What is Orientation to Clerkships (OTC)?
Orientation to Clerkships will provide an overview of Phase 2 and will share tips for success in your clerkships. Student colleagues will share their insights and recommendations with the incoming Phase 2 students. Bring your own bottle of water for OTC.

What is the Career Fair?
The Career Fair is an opportunity to learn more about different medical specialties and prepare for your clerkships. Meet with representatives of many departments and specialties, find out what it means to be a doctor in that specialty and how you can become a competitive applicant. You will also receive a box lunch.

What is Transitions to Phase 2 (T2)?
The goal of Transitions 2 is to provide instruction in the skills required to serve as a functioning member of the health care team. Instruction will be provided on how to communicate with patients, best practices for obtaining information from the patient and developing an appropriate level assessment and plan. The Class of 2026 comes together in Indianapolis for the first day of T2, in the afternoon of April 16th, and then continues T2 on their home campuses.

Grand Rounds: Navigating Clerkships
Graham Carlos, MD, MS, IU Bicentennial Professor of Medicine, IUSM; Executive Medical Director for IU Health Physicians at Eskenazi Health

Grand Rounds: Radiology
Atul Agarwal, MD, MS, Assistant Professor Clinical Neuroradiology; Program Director, Diagnostic Radiology Residency

At the conclusion of the day, regional campus students doing T2 on their home campus may travel back to their campus. For activities starting Wednesday, April 17, students should check the Canvas Transitions 2 Home Page under their campus icon for their specific T2 schedule. Students should also follow the instructions on the Class of 2026 Advising Roadmap Canvas site with regard to Onboarding.
