Study Announcement: Pain Appraisals of Children with Chronic Abdominal Pain: An Eye-tracking Study

Investigators at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) are conducting a study on clinical decision making for pain management. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of how healthcare trainees make decisions for patients with pain. Study participants may be asked to answer questions about themselves and their views as well as interact with computer-simulated patients and make ratings about different pain management options. The study will last approximately one hour.

You may be eligible to participate in this research if you are:

  • Over the age of 18
  • A healthcare trainee (medical student)
  • Have not previously participated in a study involving computer-simulated patients and pain decision-making

Compensation ($45 Amazon gift card) will be provided at the end of the study.
