Medical students at the IU School of Medicine Terre Haute campus can access a range of centralized support services from IU School of Medicine, financial services and student learning environment, mistreatment reporting and conflict resolution support. Plus, with small class sizes and accessible faculty, students at this campus can easily access personalized support needed to ensure success in medical school. Student Support Services in Terre Haute

As part of the statewide IU School of Medicine academic advising program, each medical student is assigned a lead advisor, a highly-trained professional who guides students through their entire time in medical school.

IU School of Medicine is committed to helping students with disabilities succeed. All IU School of Medicine students in need of disability accommodations should apply through IU Indianapolis Adaptive Educational Services.

At the Indiana University School of Medicine—Terre Haute campus, medical students can access vaccines, primary care, preventative and women’s health services at the UAP Clinic in the Indiana State University Health Center. Other diagnostic or therapeutic health services not available at this location can be accessed by referral. Urgent care needs can be accessed at Union Health Emergency Care or Convenient Care. IU School of Medicine permits students to be excused from required educational experience to seek needed care under the IU School of Medicine Time Away Policy.

IU School of Medicine—Terre Haute enjoys a highly supportive community that has helped raise important scholarship funds. All medical students at the Terre Haute campus are eligible for scholarship consideration, provided that the FAFSA form is submitted to IU School of Medicine in the Financial Aid office. Some awards carry restrictions regarding academic achievement, geographic residence and/or financial need. Even with restrictions, most students are eligible for one or more of the Terre Haute campus scholarships.
