Indy Pride

IU School of Medicine proudly joins the Indy Pride Parade and Festival each year, reflecting the school's core values of excellence, respect, integrity, diversity and inclusion, and cooperation.

The first gay pride festival to be held in a public space in Indianapolis happened in June 1988. Today, the Indy Pride Parade is one of the largest in the nation, and the Indy Pride Festival attracts over 100,000 annual attendees.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school and show our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Members of the School of Medicine group who registered after the shirt deadline are encouraged to wear something festive or their IU School of Medicine attire. The deadline to register to walk in the parade is Sunday, June 4th. We look forward to seeing you there!
