Wellness Resources for Medical Students

As a medical student, the demand on your time and attention can sometimes feel overwhelming. The following resources are available to help you take care of your own wellness — and they are provided to you at no charge, as a member of the IU School of Medicine community.

Department of Mental Health Services

Access mental health services on all IU School of Medicine campuses in-person, or schedule a tele-health appointment. You can also take a mental health, well-being, anxiety, depression or PTSD screening online.

TimelyCare

IU students and residents have FREE, 24/7 access to TimelyCare, a virtual health and well-being platform. Access virtual mental health support or self-care content on demand, or schedule counseling or health coaching sessions when they work for you.

Student Health Insurance

IU School of Medicine ensures that each medical student has access to health and disability insurance, and that each student's dependents have health insurance. Find answers to questions about your mandatory health insurance plan or disability insurance.
