Wellness Resources for Faculty

Providing easy access to resources that help faculty take care of their own wellness is a critical component to serving the community as a world-class school of medicine. That's why Indiana University Health and IU School of Medicine provide the following wellness resources to faculty.

IU EAP (SupportLinc)

SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can help you and your household members address life's challenges through free, 24/7 access to professional counseling, resources and referrals. Licensed advocates provide short-term assistance for issues like grief and loss, work-related pressures and depression.

Workplace Mental Health

Find help, resources and support when you, a member of your team or someone you know is facing a mental health concern, needs someone to talk to or is looking for ways to improve mental well-being. Services include telehealth, one-on-one counseling, self-guided therapy, group support and more.

Healthy IU

Healthy IU provides educational and environmental resources to foster individual well-being and support a culture of wellness. Resources address the Eight Dimensions of Wellness: financial, physical, spiritual, environmental, emotional, intellectual, occupational and social.

Weight Watchers (WW)

Reach your weight-loss and wellness goals with the help of a free membership to Weight Watchers (WW). WW provides science-based tools through nutrition education, social support and healthy lifestyle habits like physical activity and stress management.

Ombuds Office

Discuss concerns, complaints and disputes with an impartial third party in a safe environment at the IU School of Medicine Ombuds Office. Confidentially discuss sensitive issues, find guidance on how to address a conflict, identify policies that apply to a specific situation and more.

VITAL WorkLife offers services such as peer coaching, confidential counseling, concierge services, financial and legal resources and more. Services are available free of charge to IU Health faculty physicians and advanced practice providers, as well as their families.

IU Health chaplains from a variety of faith traditions and cultures offer emotional and culturally sensitive support to people of all faiths — and those whose lives are guided by more philosophical perspectives.
