Certificates

IU School of Medicine offers graduate-level certificates that offer advanced training in research.

The Clinical Research certificate is offered by the Clinical Investigator and Translational Education (CITE) Program. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree or be in training for a doctoral degree.

This 14-credit program requires completion of three courses (Clinical Research Methods, Research Ethics, Clinical Trials or Biostatistics), which total nine credits. The remaining five credits are made up of electives that are relevant to the student’s clinical research.

An online program with monthly campus visits, the Health Innovation and Implementation Science Certificate is ideal for clinicians and health care administrators who aspire to improve health care outcomes at lower costs. Training provides students with the skills to become effective change agents through applied knowledge in how to successfully identify, implement, localize, evaluate and scale up evidence-based practices, as well as innovate and invent new models of care and processes when evidence-based practices do not exist.
