About Mark

Mark Notestine started at Indiana University School of Medicine in March 2020. He came to IU after a successful stint at East Carolina University, where he served as associate vice chancellor of advancement and president of the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation. Before that, he held senior leadership advancement positions at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, and The Ohio State University.

Notestine earned his PhD in higher education administration from Ohio University. He received his master’s degree in educational leadership and bachelor’s degree in communications, both from the University of Tennessee.
