Distinguished Professor
Kelvin Lee, MD, a world-recognized medical oncologist and multiple myeloma researcher, is director of the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center.
D. W. Clapp, MD
Chair, Department of Pediatrics
D. Wade Clapp, MD, was at the forefront of identifying effective treatments for NF1, a previously untreatable and sometimes life-threatening class of tumors.
Lawrence Einhorn, MD
Distinguished Professor
Lawrence Einhorn, MD, developed the curative chemotherapy regimen for testis cancer, the most common cancer seen in young men. His clinical research team was instrumental in the approval of cisplatin, etoposide and ifosfamide by the FDA.
Patrick J. Loehrer, MD
Distinguished Professor
Patrick Loehrer, MD, led a team that established the standard of care for thymic cancers worldwide and was the clinical co-leader of a research team that explained the molecular aspects of developing this rare cancer for The Cancer Genome Atlas. He led creation of the AMPATH Oncology program in western Kenya.

Anna Maria Storniolo, MD, and colleagues established the Susan G. Komen Tissue Bank at IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, the world’s only healthy breast tissue bank.
Teresa A. Zimmers, PhD
H.H. Gregg Professor of Cancer Research
Teresa Zimmers, PhD, is among only a few researchers in the country who evaluate the mechanisms of commonly seen side effects in patients with cancer, including cognitive dysfunction (or “chemo brain”) and cachexia (loss of body weight and muscle mass).
