Indiana O'Brien Center for Advanced Renal Microscopy and Molecular Imaging

Developmental Core

The Resource Development Core develops advanced technologies to help renal investigators realize the promise of quantitative, large-scale microscopy as a tool for understanding kidney function and disease.

The current goals of the Resource Development Core are to develop:

  • Unique multi-scale/multi-resolution approach to imaging the rodent and human kidney.
  • Automated methods of digital image analysis to quantitatively enumerate and characterize the cells and structures of the kidney and their relationships throughout the kidney.
  • Methods to integrate protein imaging and transcriptomic data into a single image and data space.
