About Caitie

Caitie Deranek Stewart joined the Office of Gift Development in 2014. She is the primary contact for giving to ophthalmology, otolaryngology and women’s health at IU School of Medicine and raises funds for diversity efforts, scholarships and the school's regional campuses.

Caitie holds a bachelor of music degree in vocal performance and a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Indianapolis. She completed her master of arts in philanthropic studies from the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and a master of public affairs with a concentration in nonprofit management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU Indianapolis in 2016.

In addition to her work at IU School of Medicine, Caitie is active in the local nonprofit community and is interested in improving the practice of fundraising around the world. She is a professional vocalist and maintains a small private voice and piano studio. She enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her family.
