Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose to pursue family medicine because I love how this specialty enables me to provide care to a wide range of patient populations ranging from newborns, all the way up to geriatric patients. Furthermore, this specialty is unique in the sense that it allows me to provide continuity of care, build long lasting relationships with my patients, ultimately see the “big picture” and treat my patients as a whole.

Why I chose the IU Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program: Resident wellness is very important to me, so I chose the IU Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program because I wanted to be at a program that emphasized resident wellness. Additionally I wanted to be at a residency program that would allow me to retain knowledge effectively, and enable me to develop skills for life long learning. This is accomplished by the longitudinal curriculum of this program. This program also offers the Sports Medicine educational track which is something I am very passionate about.

Personal interests and hobbies: I have a deep affection for fishing, I enjoy playing basketball and I’m a die hard Toronto Raptors fan! I also enjoy using my telescope to observe the moon, and planets, I love nature and animals. In my free time I like playing video games.

Languages I am fluent in: English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi
