Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: Family medicine embodies advocacy for health and wellness in the hopes of impacting health literacy and equity in our communities. The opportunity to support in such ways is an important gift and motivates me to pursue excellence in this specialty. I am overjoyed to begin seeing patients, growing with them and nurturing their health needs. Also, gaining an expansive medical knowledge will allow me the privilege to treat patients with an assortment of presentations.
Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: The mission of Indiana University to produce caring and competent physicians resonates with how I envision myself as a doctor. The broad-spectrum training and diversity in patient population and pathology are just a few aspects that make this program extra desirable. I am so blessed to be part of a community that aims to improve and be a leader in medicine.
Interests and hobbies: I am thankful for and enjoy Church/community service and outreach, spending time with my husband (and sometimes Emma, the cat lol), singing (I almost auditioned for American idol), figure skating (competed for several years), snowboarding, MOVIES! (suspense/thriller, absolutely), board and card games, and binge watching ‘Good Bones’ the HGTV show (based in Indianapolis!)
Languages I speak fluently: English
