Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because of the amount of time that I get to spend with my patients and to really get to know them. I also chose this field because it is very broad and encompasses just about everything in medicine.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial: I initially was interested in this program because it is a smaller program that is unopposed which I felt would really lead to a close-knit group. I also really was drawn to the hospital having Magnet status and the Malcom Baldridge award. I really wanted to practice at a hospital that cares to put its patients first. Then my wife and I decided to come see the area where I might end up getting placed and it really sealed the deal. The way everyone was super friendly and the cuteness of the city really drew us in. We visited several areas and businesses around the city and the kindness of people we met just won us over.

Personal interests and hobbies: I like watching movies, playing video games with friends and family that are now located all across the country. I enjoy doing outdoor activities like hiking with my wife and dog. I enjoy eating different types of food and cooking (though I hate the dishes that come afterwards). I also enjoy 3D printing and making models that have no use for anything.
