Bio

Why I chose general surgery as a career: In general surgery, we learn to operate head-to-toe and treat a spectrum of diseases. I enjoy the team dynamic and artistic principles while operating.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program: IU is a busy academic program with high volumes. We rotate through multiple hospitals with different patient populations and work environments, which leads to versatile, well-trained surgeons when we finish.

Professional/Research Interests: Transplant translational research, global surgery, narrative medicine

Personal Interests/Hobbies: Hiking, travel, finding new hole-in-the-wall places to eat
