I am from Reno Nevada where I grew up and completed most of my education. I played softball since I was little and was fortunate enough to continue playing into my early college career in beautiful Sonoma California. After sophomore year I became more serious with school and moved back home to Reno and completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. Before applying to medical school, I worked as an EMT and was able to experience first-hand patient care. During that time I got married to my best friend and he has been a constant source of encouragement through all life has had to offer.
I knew Emergency Medicine was my top choice because of the diversity and the fast pace. Moving to Indiana was not in the original plan, however after coming to interview I knew this program was the right match for me. The people were friendly, the program fast paced, and the city had a lot to offer. Since moving to Indianapolis I've been traveling more, seen a Broadway show and been to multiple professional games. For fun my husband and I play golf, have recently started playing tennis, and enjoy trying new restaurants.
