Bio

Why IU School of Medicine, Emergency Medicine? This residency program felt like a family more than any other program I visited while on the interview trail. This place really is amazing and the people are even better….plus they have the best family benefits of any other program in the country.

Hobbies and Personal Interests: I have the best family in the world. My wife, Amy, is a 6th grade teacher and an absolute rock-star. My kids, Hayla, Emily, Micah, and Luke are amazing as well and keep us on our toes and sometimes a little busier than we would like to be. I am a pilot and love flying, but medical school and residency seemingly get in the way of having the time to fly. Hobbies besides hanging out with my kids and flying basically include getting projects done for my wife who thinks she is Joanna Gaines!

Fun Fact: I worked construction in high school and started smoking Marlboro cigarettes, because that was the cool thing to do while working construction. I got a major buzz from my first “smoke” and almost fell off the second story before the walls were put up. Stopped smoking shortly after!
