Riley Hannan, PhD, joined the Indiana University School of Medicine in late 2025. He is a scientist with broad experience in flow cytometry and microscopy, including high-plex immunoassays, lightsheet microscopy, and mass cytometry.
His graduate training at the University of Virginia with Dr. Shayn Peirce-Cottler and Dr. Thomas Barker studied the involvement perivascular cells in the progression of pulmonary fibrosis, and his postgraduate training with Dr. Jeffrey Sturek broadened his scope into clinical studies of human fibrotic interstitial lung diseases, with a focus on the immuno-modulatory potential of natural antibodies and the B Cells which produce them.
He is a member of the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute.
