Bio

Dr. Subramanian is an expert molecular biologist with broad experience in Molecular virology, Next-Generation sequencing, and Bioinformatics data analysis. He received his Master of Science and PhD in Genetics from Osmania University Hyderabad, India. At LSU School of Veterinary medicine, he was the Assistant Director of Division of Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine (BIOMMED), leading multiple industrial ties projects. He was also the Program Coordinator for three major NIH-funded Center grants namely the statewide Louisiana Biomedical Research Network (LA;INBRE), Center for Experimental Infectious Disease Research and the COBRE Center for Preclinical Cancer Research (CPCCR) - where he was also the Associate Director of the Preclinical Evaluation Core, where he oversaw the review, of research proposals across a wide range of biomedical research. He also oversaw the NextGen Sequencing and Bioinformatics Unit of the Division of BIOMMED and has organized the Annual Louisiana Conference on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. He has also served as the Director of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Resources Core (MCBRC) for the Louisiana Biomedical Research Network (LBRN).
