Marianna Zagurovskaya, MD

Dr. Zagurovskaya has over 9 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, with an expertise in Emergency and Cardiothoracic imaging. After earning her medical degree and completing Internal Medicine residency in the country of Kazakhstan, she finished Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Kentucky and a fellowship in Cardiothoracic imaging at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Subsequently, as a faculty at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Zagurovskaya has been involved in the education of radiology and emergency medicine residents, medical students, and nurse practitioners. She has presented at multiple professional meetings and invited professorships in the topics related to both cardiothoracic and emergency radiology. Within her interests on Global Radiology outreach, Dr. Zagurovskaya has successfully organized multi-specialty onsite and online radiologic imaging educational sessions for developing countries, mentored several national and international MD/PhD trainees, and served as a leader for RAD-AID Kazakhstan Program for several years. In addition, she has volunteered at multiple professional society organizations including American Board of Radiology. Dr. Zagurovskaya has been named as a reviewer with distinction by multiple leading radiology journals on several consecutive years. She has been awarded one research grant, collaborated on several institutional and external research projects. and has over 20 peer-reviewed publications, two book chapters, and more than 20 educational exhibits presented to national meetings. She has given over 40 national and international lectures.
