Bio

Priya Joshi OD, received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Miami, Florida. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry from University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry in 2015. She then completed a residency in Primary Care & Ocular Disease at the W.G Hefer Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Sailsbury, NC in 2016. 

After completing residency, she worked in a private practice in Carrboro, North Carolina for 5 years before joining the Department of Ophthalmology in 2022. 

Spending time conducting pediatric clinical research in a large multi-specialty eye hospital in Miami during college lead Dr. Joshi to persue a career in eyecare . During this time she was able to experience the impact of an eye care professional on children's development and learning. She loves to see children of all ages and children with special needs. 

Dr. Joshi also preforms adult eye exams for a variety of conditions including diabetic eye exams and glaucoma testing.
