Dr. Coughlin currently serves as Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Pediatric Surgery. She received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Indiana University, Dr. Coughlin completed her Pediatric Surgery and Surgical Critical Care fellowships in Houston, TX.
Her clinical interests include congenital diaphragmatic hernia, extracorporeal life support (ECLS), and adolescent weight loss surgery, among others.
She has published more than 20 peer reviewed papers relating to a number of surgical topics including ECLS, the artificial placenta and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
