Bio

Dr. Rani is board certified in internal medicine, and endocrinology and metabolic diabetes.  She has been practicing medicine for more than 10 years. Dr. Rani has special clinical interests in diabetes, thyroid disease and pituitary diseases. When she is not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking and gardening.

Dr. Rani completed her residency at Long Island College Hospital, where she also served as chief resident for one year. She completed her fellowship in endocrinology and metabolic diseases at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She specialized in thyroid ultrasound, bone densitometry and insulin pumps. Dr. Rani is a member of the American Diabetes Association, Endocrinology Society, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
