Bio

Dr. Fayad is a board certified gastroenterologist with expertise in therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including retrograde cholangiopancreatography, mucosal resection, and endoscopic hemostasis. Dr. Fayad earned his medical degree in 2000 at Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Fayad completed his medical residency and his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Cooper University Hospital. Dr. Fayad joined the faculty at Indiana University in August 2007, and he is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine. Dr. Fayad is passionate about his role as a Clinician Educator, and he has been serving as the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship Director since May 2012. In addition, Dr. Fayad has been the Endoscopy Director at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center since January 2012. Dr. Fayad is also an active member in the national GI societies, and he is the current Training Committee Chair of the American College of Gastroenterology.
