Traci Bailey, MD, joined Indiana University School of Medicine faculty in 2020 following a residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery and a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction at Loma Linda University. She also earned her medical degree at the university, which is located in Southern California. Dr. Bailey specializes in head and neck cancer treatment with an emphasis on endocrine surgery.
Dr. Bailey was drawn to IU School of Medicine for the diverse patient population as well as the opportunity to treat a broad range of diagnoses at an academic institution which is focused on being at the forefront of advances in patient care. She loves practicing otolaryngology as it gives the opportunity to treat a wide array of patients ranging from children to adults with a good mix of surgical care and medical care. She also finds it rewarding to take help patients regain the functions that help us to experience and interact with our world, including hearing, speech and swallow, and nasal function.
In addition to head and neck cancer and endocrine surgery, Dr. Bailey is interested in research regarding thyroid cancers as well as clinical research regarding thyroid and parathyroid surgery and the post-operative management of these patients, including cost-effectiveness in surgery and improving patient outcomes.
In her spare time, Dr. Bailey enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as gardening, cooking and traveling.
