Bio

Dr. Tang attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA in 2004. Upon graduating, he completed internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Bi-County Hospital. He then completed Gastroenterology Fellowship Training at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills, MI and graduated in 2010. Dr. Tang joined the IU Digestive and Liver Disorders faculty in 2010 and has been an active gastroenterologist serving as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine for Indiana University, Department of Medicine. He is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in multiple settings from downtown Indianapolis as well as the surrounding suburbs of the city, with a focus on general gastrointestinal disorders, including acid reflux, diagnoses of the liver and pancreas as well as colon cancer screening.  As a Midwest native, he is proud to call Indiana home.
