Bio
Why I chose family medicine: I chose family medicine because of the diversity of the field. I love being able to care for a wide range of patients, from the very young to the very old and everyone in between. I also love the flexibility it allows and the ability to cater your career to your particular interests. I am also very passionate about preventive medicine as well as community and global health which, in my opinion, is the cornerstone of family medicine. Finally, I love the connection that you build with your patients in family practice and the privilege to potentially care for your patients for a lifetime.
Why I chose the IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis Family Medicine Residency Program: I fell in love with this program on my interview day. Indianapolis seemed like a great place to live and the residents were all very welcoming. I love the robust OB training that this program provides and that it allows me to combine my love for women's health and global health medicine through the respective tracks. I was confident that this residency program would be an excellent program for me to train for the next three years!
Personal interests and hobbies: I enjoy baking, hiking, snorkelling, music and watching TV.
