Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: Family medicine provides the continuity with patients and their entire family that I desired as a provider. It provides a variety throughout the day ranging from pediatrics, adults, procedures, obstetrics, and geriatrics. Family medicine allows me to be an advocate and feel interwoven within the community of which I serve.
Why I chose the IU School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial: I chose IU Family Medicine Jasper Residency Program because it is a community based unopposed program. The faculty and hospital provided a sense of family and community, which provides a nurturing learning environment that would allow me to thrive. Each team within the hospital network is strong and provides support in your education. I desire to work in a rural community and Jasper provided a similar setting that I anticipate upon graduating. Jasper is a close-knit community, making it a perfect place to raise a family. The association with IU allows for resources and guidance, while still being a rural/community program.
Personal interests and hobbies: Motherhood, baking, Peloton, being outdoors, traveling, time with friends and family.
Professional interests: Osteopathic manipulation and teaching.
