Bio
Why Emergency Medicine? Emergency medicine is unique in that you get to be both a generalist and a specialist. You are a generalist in the sense that you are trained to care for anyone, anywhere, at any time. You also get to be a specialist as an expert in resuscitation and management of critically ill patients.
Why did you choose the Indiana University School of Medicine Emergency Residency program? I chose IUEM because the graduates that come out of this program are well-equipped to practice emergency medicine in any setting. This is because you have the opportunity to train under some of the best emergency physicians in the country at three Level 1 trauma centers that see high volumes and high acuity. What really sold me, however, was the amazing family-like atmosphere that IUEM possesses.
What are some of your personal interests? Outside of the emergency department, I enjoy traveling, camping, running with my dog, and playing guitar.
