Bio
Dr. Baskaran is a Chicago native and earned his Bachelors of Arts Summa Cum Laude in Biology Sciences and his Doctor of medicine at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. While in medical school, Dr. Baskaran received the Lee F. Rogers Award for Outstanding Radiology Research and was the recipient of the RSNA Medical Student Departmental Grant. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where he served as chief resident in 2007, was honored as the RSNA/ARRS/AUR “introduction to Research” participant. Dr. Baskaran completed his diagnostic neuroradiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since completing his neuroradiology fellowship, Dr. Baskaran has been a staff neuroradiologist at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and in 2017 earned his Certification of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology.
His extracurricular interests primarily include spending time with family, travel, and reading.
It is Dr. Baskaran’s clinical excellence, passion for neuro imaging and dedication to teaching that make him a great addition to the Neuroradiology Section and the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences.
